UNDERUTILIZED FREEDOM OF INDIAN

Independent India has facilitated every Indian with 7 fundamental Rights-One of  fundamental right is Right to freedom which includes speech and expression, assembly, association or union or cooperatives, movement, residence, and right to practice any profession or occupation (some of these rights are subject to security of the State, friendly relations with foreign countries, public order, decency or morality), right to life and liberty. Freedom is the idea to develop equality, reform society.

Events occurred in recent years raise a frequent question are we free?

I asked this question to almost everybody whom I can discuss with .Terribly the answer is ambiguous .We hesitate to say firmly we are free. I thank to democracy enabling our right to discuss, Thanks to social media platforms where people start asking, availability of free information at Internet. Knowledge and interaction among people had  never  been easy like now. Recently I read the interview of IAS officer Ashok Khemka . Ashok khemka (He was most recently Haryana’s Director-General of Land Consolidation and Land Records-cum-Inspector-General of Registration. During his 80-day stint in the department, Khemka had detected serious irregularities in land transactions involving transfer of panchayat land worth several hundred crores of rupees to newly created real estate companies. ) talked the Govt as an institution not as a person or as a group of people The party in office is nothing just representative (I am refraining myself to address them as ruling party because this is the colonialism mindset that drive us to address as ruling party). They are there to represent us to incorporate our needs to demand and frame the policy for us, to coordinate our bureaucrat to benefit of common man. Although we all know this is not happening at all one of the reasons is the difference between the status of representatives and common man. Common man hesitates, feared to ask question, to discuss at open platforms. If somebody says that common man did not understand, I won't buy this idea.

"common man can be Illiterate, uneducated, but not blind" It is  famous quote of Mahatma Gandhi that reshaped policy of Indian national congress during struggle for independence

Why we hesitate and feared?

The answer can be easily figured out if we look at the discussion of common man. How we compare the scams “ BJP ke raj me kabhi itna bhrastachar nahi hua ?”. I remember one of the discussion at my house, my father and his colleague about the disinvestment policy during NDA office term .The central idea of the discussion was “congress ke raj me roti to mil jati hai sabko “. When Mayawati holding office in UP in her first attempt device an aggressive policy to ensure law and order against the so-called Bahubalis the common sentiment was “ maywati ke raj me to Gundo ki shamat aa gayi hai ‘.Common man every time talks like this, we are still living in the mindsets of colonialism. The only progress is “ ab angrejo ka raj nahi hai” This hesitation and fear belongs to this mental situation we believe that they are rulers ( Unka raj hai hum to praja hain Hum kaise sawal poonche ? Hum unki nitiyon ko hum kaise samajh payenge ) . Common man address as Its congress rule, BJP rule not as Govt of India .

How to get out of this?

We must understand that the Govt is an institution abide under constitution. There are rules guidelines framed by our forefathers. Govt is an idea. It is not the person or group of person representing office are rule. ( Koi bhi party ya vyakti sarkaar nahi hai , Sarkaar ek vichar hai , Niyamon ka ek sangrah hai ). The ideas and rules instituted in constitution they are the Real ruler not the one who has the responsibility to execute. The person or group of people representing the office is not above the constitution. To spread this idea and make believe of this idea, common man should ask-participate in the discussion of governance, policy of administration and economy. These discussions will spread the ideas and enable us to take better decision. Participating in such discussions among ourselves about governance, Ask questions with the person who belongs to representative (Eg-I belong to Reabareilly. Sonia Gandhi is representing this constituency in parliament. I cannot reach her for every question, but at the same time she did not come to me for asking  vote. Her representative came to support and ask vote for her. I should ask her representative. We must invite these representatives in discussions)

These practices will strengthen democracy. Active participation of common man in matter of governance economy will enable them to contribute better in interest of nation and society.

Performing these practices common man has nothing to lose, but the virtual chains .
