SA to host Olympic 2020
Football world cup 2010 had been over, what a fantastic event it was full of Un- expected results. While everybody was busy in discussing that who is going to be champion then I thought it is South Africa won WC2010, despite of exit of SA in first round he way South African was there in the Grounds to watch the game , The way SA arranged hospitality for tourists , The way SA dealt with traffic and Law and Order situation , Then it is unquestionable that SA won.
This tremendous success had not com like any blessing this had been earned by SA in more than 15 years of hard work and step by step progress .Logistic says that South Africa has hosted more than 140 major international events since 1994. Among them were the 1995 Rugby World Cup ,1996 African Cup of Nations ,African Cup of Golf ,1998 world cup of Athletics , 2003 Cricket WC ,2005-2008 women Golf WC , 2006 Paralympics swimming world champs , 2007 world T20 champion ship , 2009 Indian Premier league3, 2010 FIFA world cup. These are sufficient enough to justify its candidature for Olympic 2020. These all data reflect that SA had done a perfect home work for every even in all respective area from bidding to closing ceremony every time they are reaching to a new dimension of hosting the event. One more fact that is making it hard to ignore the SA is its success in athletics is also making a great point.SA has all good infrastructure they are hosting almost every sports event Be it Golf be it Rugby, Be it Cricket, Be it Formula 1 Car Racing, be it Football, be it Swimming, be it athletics It looks like South African sport events are an integral part of any South African's social life. They are born with a need to regularly gather with thousands of like-minded sport fanatics with an appetite for action. From adventure sports and marathons to soccer and rugby, they love them all.
IOC President Jacques Rogge said last week that he would love to have a credible African candidate for the next Olympics, namely 2020. This is most interesting fact attracting the attention of everyone and why not Mr. Jacques should say this if it comes to Sports Ground we can see it as All ten grounds of Fifa WC 2010 , All cricket WC grounds , Rugby ground , International synthetic Tracks for athlete. If it comes to investment for preparation the preparation of Fifa WC 2010 was so much criticism especially from the foreign media, South Africa has hosted this edition of world cup with resounding success. South Africa has spent in excess of R33 billion to put together this global show piece. Five of the 10 stadiums are new and the rest have been upgraded for the event.
